FACILITATION AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GROUNDED IN PARTICIPATORY PRACTICE

Complex work requires more than just good intentions or a rigid agenda. It requires a skilled navigator who can read a room in real-time, especially when history, power dynamics, or unspoken tension sit quietly in the corners.

At KT Facilitation, my work is rooted in facilitative practices and the globally recognized Technology of Participation (ToP®) framework.

As a Certified ToP® Facilitator and Mentor Trainer, I don't just "run meetings"; I design environments where people can think clearly together and move toward decisions they can actually stand behind.

Whether your room is "hard" because of high stakes or because past attempts at collaboration have stalled, my goal is to help you move from frustration and fragmentation to meaningful, lasting progress.

TWO INTEGRATED PATHS

OF SUPPORT

Organizations usually find their way to this work through one of two doors. Some need immediate, expert hands to guide a high-stakes moment, while others want to build that capacity internally so they aren't forever reliant on outside help.

PATH 01

PROFESSIONAL FACILITATION

Direct support for the moments that matter most - strategic planning, navigating conflict, or cross-functional complexity.

PATH 02

FACILITATION & LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Practical, experience-based programs that equip your team with the skills to lead engaging, productive conversations every day.

Both paths are connected by the 5 Hallmarks of Facilitation in Leadership: Self, Strengths, Skill, Synergy, and Strategy.

PATH O1

FACILITATION - WHEN THE ROOM IS HARD AND THE STAKES ARE REAL

Facilitation is often misunderstood as just "following an agenda". In practice, it’s about having the steadiness to stay grounded when the energy in the room shifts. I specialize in rooms where alignment doesn't come easily, where power imbalances or competing priorities often leave groups feeling stuck.

WHAT EFFECTIVE FACILITATION LOOKS LIKE:
🏢
EXECUTIVE TEAMS NAVIGATING TENSION

I've worked with teams that were labeled "difficult" by others. By establishing trust and the right structure, those same groups often become the most engaged and productive.

🎯
STRATEGIC PLANNING THAT STICKS

We move beyond high-level ideals to create high-level practical visions. You leave with clear priorities, defined ownership, and 90-day action steps that actually fit your capacity.

🌐
STAKEHOLDER & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Public sessions often involve hidden agendas. I create a "container" where participation is balanced, ensuring one or two voices don't dominate the entire room.

"It's not about removing disagreement.

It's about making disagreement workable."

Not sure if facilitation is the right fit? Let's talk it through.

PATH O2 - TRAINING

TOP® TRAINING BUILDING INTERNAL FACILITATION SKILLS

I don't just facilitate for you; I train you to facilitate for yourselves. As a Technology of Participation Trainer, I offer practical, experience-based training for leaders and managers who are tired of circular, unproductive meetings.

Many organizations integrate ToP® training alongside facilitation engagements to build long-term collaborative capacity that lasts.

THESE TRAININGS ARE FOR YOU IF:

You lead meetings that matter:

You need more than a "scripted" approach for real-world complexity.

You WANT TO INCREASE ENGAGEMENT

You need tools to help people put down their guard and contribute their best insights.

You need structure without control

You want to guide the group toward an outcome without imposing your own solution.

PATH O2 - LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: STRENGTHENING HOW

YOU SHOW UP

Leadership development isn't just about what you do; it's about who you are in the room. This work focuses on "Self", the first hallmark, building the awareness and emotional intelligence needed to lead through uncertainty.

I am a Lumina Learning Practitioner, which means I use data-backed tools to help teams understand their communication styles and unique "spark".

01

UNDERSTAND PRESSURE

Learn how your style shifts when you are under stress or in a "hard" room.

02

REDUCE FRICTION

Recognize how different personalities can clash or complement one another.

03

BUILD EMPATHY

Develop a shared language that allows for more effective collaboration across silos.

WHAT TO EXPECT

THE EXPERIENCE: WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

When you work with KT Facilitation, the experience starts long before I walk into the room.

I spend time understanding your context - who is in the room, what dynamics are likely to

emerge, and what a "win" looks like for your specific culture.

THE MAGIC OF THE

STICKY WALL

In an age of digital fatigue, my in-person sessions often use physical working materials - sticky notes, charts, and markers.

There is something "magic" about a group spending a day looking at their collective ideas on a wall rather than a computer screen. It disrupts normal thinking patterns and forces the brain to engage with the work in a fresh, collaborative way.

THE RESULTS:

SHARED UNDERSTANDING

Everyone leaves knowing what matters most and why.

DEFINED OWNERSHIP

No more "leader-only" responsibility; everyone knows their next steps.

LASTING TRUST

An increased belief in the group's ability to tackle the next hard thing together.

NOT SURE WHERE TO START?

If you're navigating a transition, a "tough" board, or a team that feels stuck, you don't have to have the solution figured out yet.

Our first conversation is simply about fit, understanding your people, your dynamics, and your goals.
